Disney Epcot World Showcase
Epcot’s World Showcase is one of my favorite parts of Walt Disney World. Disney’s World Showcase features 11 countries that immerse you in another world while still in Orlando, Florida.
Disney designed Epcot’s World Showcase for the whole family to enjoy together. Every Epcot World Showcase country has a restaurant with local cuisine, shopping, and a KidCot station for kids to learn about that country.

As a kid, one of my favorite Disney memories was going to Epcot’s World Showcase and visiting all the KidCot stations with my family. As an adult, Disney’s Epcot World Showcase is still one of my favorite places to go shop, eat, and drink around the world!
My family has created a tradition of taking a silly photo at every Epcot World Showcase country. Every Epcot country has hats in their shops and we wear the hats in our pictures.
Many people try a food or drink item at every World Showcase country. There is even an Epcot drink around the world challenge where people try a drink from each Epcot country. The Epcot drink around the world challenge isn’t for the faint of heart so drink responsibly!
Experience Epcot ‘s World Showcase, an amazing spot for the whole family that shouldn’t be missed!
Mexico Pavilion at World Showcase
Depending on where you start, Epcot’s Mexico pavilion is likely one of the first stops on your Epcot World Showcase tour. Mexico’s Pavilion had a beautiful Mexican temple with great restaurants, food, shopping, and a World Showcase attraction!
Mexico’s pavilion has so much to offer where do you start? Most Americans love Mexican food and margaritas so lets touch on Disney’s Mexican pavilion food!
Epcot World’s Showcase Mexico Pavilion has two table service restaurants and one quick service restaurant.
For quick service in Mexico, visit La Cantina de San Angel. La Cantina de San Angel is across from the Mexican temple and they are known for great nachos, tacos, and margaritas, of course! If you’re eating at La Cantina de San Angel, there is some outside seating but there is also tons of seating inside.
Right next to Mexico’s quick service location is La Hacienda de San Angel. This Epcot Mexico restaurant offers more traditional Mexican cuisine with great views of World Showcase Lagoon.
If you’re looking to eat inside of Mexico’s temple, check out San Angel Inn Restaurante. Mexico’s San Angel Inn Restaurante offers unique Mexican cuisine with an American twist and beautiful views of Epcot’s Mexico pavilion.
In terms of margaritas and tequila, Disney’s Epcot World Showcase offers tequila tasting at La Cava del Tequila. La Cava del Tequila is located inside the Mexican temple.
If your considering doing Epcot drinking around the world, be sure to stop at La Cava del Tequila!
Epcot World Showcase Mexico pavilion also offers great shopping. Mexico has great items right out of Mexico like hand blow glass jewelry, day of the dead memorabilia and much more!
Finally, Disney’s Mexico pavilion is one of the few World Showcase countries with a ride. Make sure to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour with the Three Cabrellos. The Gran Fiesta tour is a great family ride that gives you background on Mexican heritage with a fun Disney twist!
In my opinion, the World Showcase Mexico pavilion is one of best World Showcase countries for the food, drinks, and cool atmosphere.

Norway – Epcot World Showcase
The most popular World Showcase country for little kids is the Norway pavilion. In the past Norway looked much different than it does today. Today, the central theme of Epcot’s Norway pavilion is Frozen.
If you’ve been a Disney park fan for a long time, you may remember Maelstrom. Maelstrom was a slow moving water ride through Norway’s history.
Several years ago Maelstrom was renovated into a Frozen ride featuring Anna, Elsa, and your favorite Frozen characters. The Frozen ride is by far the most popular World Showcase attraction!
If you’re traveling to Disney with little kids, make sure to include the Frozen ride on your itinerary.
Besides the Frozen ride, the World Showcase Norway pavilion also features Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. If you want a character meal with Anna and Elsa, consider booking a dining reservation at Akershus!
There are a few non-Frozen things to do at the Norway pavilion though. The Norway pavilion as several shops with Norwegian goods like Helly Hansen, Viking trinkets, perfume and more.
There is lots of fun things to do at the Epcot World Showcase Norway pavilion so consider adding it to your Disney World Showcase itinerary.
China – Disney Epcot World Showcase
Who doesn’t love Chinese food? Since I love Chinese food, I’ll start by talking about all the great Chinese food options offered at Epcot’s World Showcase China pavilion.
If you want a table service dining experience, consider dining at China’s Nine Dragons Restaurant. Nine Dragons offers delicious Americanized Chinese food that will loved by your entire family.
Besides sit down dining, World Showcase China pavilion has several walk up food booths with other Chinese food and beverage options.
The newest addition to the China pavilion is Wonderous China, a circle vision 36o movie about Chinese culture and history. Wonderous China just opened in 2020 but most people haven’t gotten a chance to experience it yet with the COVID shutdown.
In non-COVID times, Epcot’s China pavilion offers unique entertainment. There are frequently Chinese acrobats that will perform just outside the China pavilion so keep an eye out for this in the future!
Germany Pavilion – World Showcase
Another one of my favorite Epcot World Showcase countries is the Germany pavilion. Who doesn’t love a good German beer and pretzel?
Frankly, one of the biggest draws to the Germany pavilion is the beer and pretzels. If you’re doing the Epcot drink around the world challenge, Germany is a must do!
Besides the beer and pretzel, the World Showcase Germany pavilion has a great restaurant, Biergarten. Biergarten is a family style restaurant that serves traditional German food like bratwursts, sauerkraut, and more!
Epcot’s Germany is also one of my favorite places to shop for unique Disney souvenirs. There are several shops that have German hand blown art, ornaments, and even toys.
If you love caramel, you will need to stop at the Werther’s shop in Germany for caramels, popcorn and all kinds of sweets. The Germany pavilion does seem a bit quiet but you’ll definitely want to stop while on your Disney Epcot World Showcase tour.
Italy – Epcot World Showcase
The Italy pavilion is another World Showcase country that revolves around eating and drinking ha! Another good question is who doesn’t love some Italian food?
Epcot’s World Showcase Italy pavilion has two table service restaurants and a wine tasting room! The more casual of the restaurants is Via Napoli.
Via Napoli is hands down one of my favorite Disney World restaurants. The Via Napoli menu features wood fired pizza, Italian pasta and some delicious wine. If you want a good World Showcase restaurant for kids, Via Napoli should be at the top of your list!
The other Italy pavilion restaurant is Tutto Italia. The atmosphere at Tutto Italia is a bit more formal but casual dress is still the norm. The Tutto Italia menu features authentic Italian pastas and salads. If you’re in the mood for authentic Italian, Tutto Italia is your place!
For those wino’s out there, the Italy wine tasting room is called Tutto Gusto wine cellar. If you want to try some amazing Italian wine while at Disney’s Epcot World Showcase, visit Tutto Gusto!
Needless to say, those doing the Epcot drinking around the world challenge should grab a glass of wine at the Italy pavilion!
Besides the wonderful eats and drinks, there are a few shops in the Epcot Italy pavilion. If you want to take home some Italian goods like perfume, sport gear, Puma or wine, check out the Italy pavilion shops.
Some of the best food and drinks at Disney’s Epcot World Showcase at featured at the Italy pavilion so add this to our list of MUST do’s!

America – Disney Epcot World Showcase
Home sweet home for us Americans! The American pavilion really focuses on celebrating American history and culture!
One of the most noticeable things you’ll see at Epcot’s America pavilion, is the America Gardens Theater. If you visit Epcot during the one of many festivals, there are often performances going on at the America Gardens Theater. Check here for some great entertainment!
The World Showcase America pavilion is also home to the newest Epcot restaurant. The Regal Eagle Smokehouse is a quick service dining location that features great American BBQ.
Since Regal Eagle is so new, I haven’t had the chance to visit yet but I’ve heard the food is amazing and they feature some great American craft beer.
The Epcot America pavilion also has food booths for other great American favorites like funnel cake and turkey legs.
If you want a show while at Epcot’s America pavilion, visit the American Adventure. The American Adventure is a show with audio-animatronics that brings American history to life.
If you’re a crazy Disney fan like me, you may have Disney art in your home. If you like Disney art, visit Art of Disney at the World Showcase America pavilion.
The Epcot World Showcase America pavilion is the centerpiece to Epcot’s World Showcase so take a look around World Showcase lagoon while you’re here!
Japan Pavilion at World Showcase
The Epcot Japan pavilion truly offers something for everyone in your family. I’m going to start by looking at the unique shopping at the Japan pavilion.
The Japan pavilion has several large shops filled with all kinds of authentic Japanese items. You could get yourself a Kimono, Japanese candy, anime, or Hello Kitty – you have endless Japanese items to choose from.
In terms of unique Disney souvenirs, I always recommend you pick a pearl. Pick-a-Pearl is a fun experience where you get to pick an oyster and keep the pearl inside. Disney will take the pearl and put it inside a necklace or bracelet if you want! Pick-a-Pearl is a one of the kind Disney souvenir you can’t get anywhere else!
Besides the unique shopping experiences at Epcot’s Japan pavilion, there are also some great dining options! Tokyo Dining is a new Epcot restaurant that serves sushi and more authentic Japanese cuisine.
For a Japanese dining experience you’re kids will love, try Teppan Edo. Disney’s Teppan Edo is a hibachi grill! Get a show with your meal at Disney’s hibachi restaurant, Teppan Edo!
Disney’s Japan pavilion is also known for sake! I’m not personally a fan of sake so I can’t give any recommendations but I’ve heard you need a sake to complete your Epcot drink around the world challenge.
For families visiting Disney Epcot World Showcase, make sure to stop by Japan because your kids will love the shopping and dining experiences at the Japan pavilion.
Morocco – Disney World Showcase
Disney’s Morocco pavilion is by far the quietest out of all the Epcot World Showcase countries. Morocco has three restaurants, Spice Road Table, Tangerine Cafe and Restaurant Marrakesh.
Both Spice Road and Restaurant Marrakesh are table service restaurants and Tangerine Cafe is a quick service restaurant. I personally haven’t eaten at any of the Moroccan pavilion restaurants but I’ve heard Spice Table has more Mediterranean based cuisine while Restaurant Marrakesh features Moroccan based cuisine.
I’ve heard great things about all three Morocco pavilion restaurants so if your trying to be a bit adventurous while at Disney Epcot World Showcase, consider dining at the Morocco pavilion.
The Morocco pavilion also has some unique shops and Disney souvenirs. At Disney’s Morocco pavilion, get traditional Moroccan outfits, spices, incents, and more unique Moroccan items.
If you or your kids love Aladdin, make sure to check out Morocco for some special, Aladdin-esque Disney items!
France – Epcot World Showcase
I know I’ve said many of the Disney Epcot World Showcase pavilions are my favorite, but I LOVE the France pavilion. I love everything about France from the food, desserts, drinks, atmosphere and the new additions coming soon!
The Epcot France pavilion expansion is a major part of Epcot’s 2021 construction and expansion so it’s on every Disney fans mind!
The Epcot World Showcase France expansion will include Remy’s Ratatouille’s Adventure Ride, a Beauty and the Beast Sing Along, a new restaurant, Le Creperie de Paris, and stunning views of the France pavilion and World Showcase Skyliner station.
Many are excited about the new Remy Ratatouille ride that will hopefully open in spring or summer 2021. Remy’s Ratatouille is a slow moving family ride that will take you through Paris, Gustaeu’s restaurant, and Remy’s world.
The Disney Epcot World Showcase France pavilion got a new movie which is a Beauty and the Beast Sing Along. The Beauty and the Beast Sing Along opened in early 2020 and is a great activity to enjoy as a family!
Transitioning to food, the Epcot France expansion includes Le Creperie de Paris which will be both a quick service and table service restaurant. The menu for Le Creperie de Paris has yet to be released but we can assume they will have crepes and everything will be delicious.
Besides the new Disney France expansion, there are two other great Epcot France restaurants. The more casual France restaurant is Chefs de France!
Chefs de France has a pre-fix menu with many of your favorite French foods like French onion soup, lobster bisque, and beef bourguignon. For a Disney table service restaurant, Chefs de France is very affordable and a great location to introduce your family to French cuisine.
Also located in Epcot’s World Showcase is one of the most expensive restaurants on Disney’s property. Monsieur Paul is a fancy restaurant with an authentic French atmosphere and food. Being one of the fanciest Disney restaurants, a suit jacket is required to dine at this France restaurant!
Besides the Disney France table service restaurants, there are several walk up windows for great French food and drinks. Many people including those who are doing Epcot drink around the world, stop and get champagne at a France food booth.
Located at the backend of the France pavilion is shopping and Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie. I love to stop into Les Halles and get a French dessert or a quick sandwich.
There is so much to do and see at Disney’s France pavilion so certainly make a point to enjoy everything the France pavilion has to offer!
United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot
The Epcot UK pavilion is a fan favorite for the great food, beer, and quaint British streets. The United Kingdom Pavilion has one of my favorite Epcot restaurants, the Rose and Crown Pub.
The Rose and Crown is a little British pub with your favorite English foods. In non-COVID times, we love to get a Rose and Crown reservation later in the evening as you have great views of the World Showcase Lagoon and Epcot nighttime show!
The Rose and Crown books up fast so if you’re looking for fish and chips, stop by the Yorkshire Country Fish Shop. The Yorkshire County Fish Shop only serves fish and chips but they are delicious!
If you’re doing the Epcot drink around the world challenge, visit the beer cart outside of Rose and Crown for authentic British beer.
Transitioning from the food and drinks, the Epcot United Kingdom pavilion has some of my favorite shops at World Showcase. Make sure to visit the soccer shop, tea shop, and shop with British favorites like the Beatles and Doctor Who.
If you want a spot to just hang out and enjoy Disney’s Epcot World Showcase, the United Kingdom pavilion is a great place to hang out and watch the Disney crowds go by!
Canada – Disney Epcot World Showcase
Last or first depending on which way you start Epcot’s World Showcase, is the Canada pavilion. The Canada pavilion is quiet but there is still so much to do and adventures to be had.
Like many of the other Disney Epcot World Showcase pavilions, the Canada pavilion got a new circle vision 360 movie. The new movie is Canada Far and Wide and the updated Canada movie opened in 2020!
The other main attraction at the Canada pavilion is the Le Cellier Steakhouse. Le Cellier is known for great steaks, beer cheese soup, mac and cheese and your favorite comfort foods.
If you want an adults only Disney meal, Le Cellier is a great Epcot restaurant to enjoy without your kids!
There is also a sound stage located between the United Kingdom and Canada pavilions that frequently features live music, even during COVID.
The Epcot Canada pavilion is a great place to start or end your Epcot World Showcase day at Walt Disney World.

Epcot World Showcase KidCot
Something that I’ve mentioned a few times throughout this post is Epcot Kidcot program. So what is Kidcot?
Epcot has Kidcot Fun Stops at each of the 11 World Showcase countries. These Kidcot stations have fun activities that will teach your kids a little bit about that country.
At your first Kidcot station, you will be given a “special” travelers card that you get stamped by a cast member at each World Showcase country.
When visiting each World Showcase country, look for the Kidcot sign or ask a cast member to get directions.
One of my favorite Disney memories as a kid was doing Kidcot with my sister. Your kids will love and cherish this fun Disney experience!
Disney Epcot World Showcase Tips
There is so much to do at Epcot’s World Showcase you could spend days exploring and enjoying everything World Showcase has to offer. Make sure to plan your Epcot visit ahead and plan everything that you want to do at Epcot’s World Showcase
I would also recommend visiting the World Showcase for an afternoon and evening but be wary of Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of locals come out on Fridays and Saturdays to enjoy the Epcot!
Check out these cute shirts! When you visit Epcot, you will see tons of families wearing Epcot World Showcase family t-shirts!
