Top 5 Things To Do at the Magic Kingdom

1. Main Street USA

The first thing you see at the Magic Kingdom is Main Street USA. Most people are in a hurry to get down Main Street to get a picture and start riding attractions. Main Street is a magical place so take a few minutes to enjoy the view.

Tip: Sit on a bench in the late morning or early evening and enjoy all Main Street has to offer. People are in such a rush they don’t notice the magic of Main Street

**Make sure you also remember a Disney face mask.

2. Visit the Three Mountains

No trip to the Magic Kingdom is complete without riding Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain.  These three rides are thrill rides but are tame enough for the entire family.

Tip: If possible, use your fastpasses on some of the mountains. They have some of the longer wait times in the park.

Tip: Bring along a portable fan because it can get extremely hot in line for Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain.

3. Visit Mickey Mouse

Every trip to Disney should be accompanied with a visit to the mouse himself! Most recently, Mickey Mouse is located at the Main Street Theater. No trip to Disney is complete without seeing the mouse himself!

Tip: Visit Mickey first thing in the morning or later in the evening for shorter lines

4. Cinderella’s Castle

Cinderella’s Castle is one of the most famous icons in the world. Remember to grab lots of pictures in front of it! I would suggest taking your pictures right in front of the castle.

Tip: Ask the Disney Photopass photographers to take a picture of your family. That way you capture the whole family!

5.Watch the Nighttime Fireworks

A day at the Magic Kingdom isn’t complete without watching the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. I’ve seen the nighttime shows dozens of times and I still get chills. Take time beforehand to find the perfect watching spot. I would suggest finding your spot about 45 minutes before the show starts. Grab your favorite snack and prepare for the magic!

Tip: Make sure you can see the castle clearly with no trees in the way.  The castle is the star of the show!
