Disney World Dining Plan Guide

Disney Dining Plan Overview

So what is the Disney Dining Plan? Disney created multiple Dining Plans that can be added to any Disney World vacation package. Disney Dining Plans are only needed for those 3 years old and older. With the Dining Plan, you pay for all your meals and food ahead of time and can spend your vacation focusing on your family! Many people enjoy knowing they have their dining pre-paid for, others like to know they will have great meals throughout the day, and others like to explore restaurant they wouldn’t traditionally visit. A great new perk of the Disney Dining Plans is that they include alcohol for those 21 years and older. There are four different Disney Dining Plans that we will discuss in greater detail below.

What’s Included in the Dining Plan?

The rules for whats included in each meal or snack are quite complex.  The specifics on whats included in each meal are detailed on the Disney’s Dining Guide. When having Quick Service meals, you will receive an entree and beverage, alcoholic or non-alcoholic.

For a Table Service breakfast, you will receive an entree and beverage. Table service lunch and dinner come with an entree, dessert, and beverage.

As far as alcoholic beverage for those 21 years and older, you will receive a single serve beverage like beer, wine, mixed drinks, or specialty cocktails.

Regarding non-alcoholic beverages, you will receive a single serve beverage such as milkshakes, smoothies, hot chocolate, soda, tea or coffee.

Each day, you will also receive two snack credits to use at quick service locations, outdoor carts, or other merchandise locations.  Snack credits are only single serve items, nothing containing multiple servings. These are common snack credit options:

  • Popcorn
  • Frozen novelty ice cream
  • Coffee or tea
  • Piece of fruit
  • Bag of snacks
  • Bottle of Coke
  • Fountain Soda

While the Dining Plan covers the cost of your meal or snack, gratuities are not included with your Dining Plan. The only thing you will need to pay out of pocket at Disney is the tips!

How To Use the Disney Dining Plan While at Disney

While dining at any restaurant at Disney World, the cashier or server will ask if you are using the Dining Plan. If your using the Dining Plan, you will just need to present your Magic Band or resort card to the cashier or server. You will need to specify the number of meals or snacks being purchased.

To keep track of your credits, check the bottom of any Disney Dining receipt, ask your resort concierge, or check your My Disney Experience App.
