Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
One of my family’s favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World is the Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort! Disney’s Boardwalk is one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and is luxury at it’s finest. The Boardwalk brings you back in time to the Atlantic City Boardwalk on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon.
Overview
Disney’s Boardwalk was opened in the 1990’s as a 20th century Ocean City Inn with all the charms and amenities of a resort in Atlantic City! The Boardwalk has an old world charm that adults will love and all the fun of Atlantic City for the whole family!
The Boardwalk Resort is located on the ¼ mile Boardwalk entertainment area with restaurants, lounges, carnival games, street performers, a piano bar, and lots of other family friendly entertainment. Alone, the Boardwalk, is a luxury, high-end resort but the Boardwalk entertainment district is further reason to consider the Boardwalk Resort for your Disney World vacation!

Disney’s Boardwalk is located in the Epcot Resort area. The Epcot Resort area is conveniently located between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are located within walking distance of the Boardwalk!
Being a Deluxe resort, the Boardwalk has several transportation options. From the Boardwalk, you can access the theme parks and Disney Springs via the boat, the bus system, and walking. Below are the transportation options from the Boardwalk:
- Boat: To Epcot and Hollywood Studios
- Walking: To Epcot and Hollywood Studios

Rooms
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort features both standard and club level rooms with a multitude of views. Boardwalk standard rooms are some of the largest at Walt Disney World. All the Boardwalk’s standard rooms can sleep up to 5 people with king options, queen options, and options with a pull out couch.
So what is club level? Several resorts feature club level access which give guests extra amenities at the resort. At the Boardwalk, the club level lounge is the Innkeeper’s Club. Here are all the club level amenities available at the Boardwalk Inn:
- Food offerings located in the Innkeeper’s Club throughout the day. This includes continental breakfast, snacks, appetizers, desserts, and refreshments
- Evening room turndown
- Health club access
- Personalized Guest Services and Concierge
If you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort, a club level room may be worth considering.

Amenities
The Boardwalk Inn has many inviting amenities that will make your Disney vacation even more amazing. Besides the great food options mentioned above, the Boardwalk also has shopping, amazing pools, tennis courts, spa & fitness center, arcade, business center, childcare services, laundry, and mail services.
One of the most exciting parts of coming to Florida is the swimming pool. The Boardwalk Inn features three pools. Two of the pools are more quiet and offer a more relaxing experience. The other pool is the “feature” pool with the infamous clown waterslide, kiddie pool, and pool bar. There is a pool for every type of family!
Pro tip – If you plan to spend a lot of time at the “feature” pool, ask for a room on the left side of the resort. This will make sure your room is closer to the feature pool!
If you like pool time like my family, make sure to bring pool toys like tubes, googles, and floaties! I usually order tubes off Amazon because they pack up small in your suitcase!
Resort Extras
There are also many extra activities located near the Boardwalk Inn Resort. These activities are things you typically find in a resort town and are great to do on arrival day, departure day, or on a rest day! Check out these extras:
- Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf
- Surrey Bike Rental
- Fishing
- Playground
The Boardwalk also hosts a few social activities that your family can take part in while at Disney World. Your family can attend Movies Under the Stars, do Yoga on the Lawn, or go to the Boardwalk Campfire.
The Boardwalk Inn Resort is one of the best Disney’s Deluxe resorts that offers something for everyone in your family! Make sure to check out one of my favorite resorts on your next Disney World vacation! Looking for more info on Disney World Resorts, check out my recommendations here!
DIsney hotels are so gorgeous, I stayed at the Old Key West on my last trip and loved it!
You can take a boat to Epcot?! For some reason that sounds like the best reason to stay there haha. It looks really beautiful too!
This sounds fabulous. At one point in the near future we will be taking our son to Disney World so this review will come in handy. Thank you
I love everything about this resort, yet I wish it had a dedicated sit down quick service option, especially for breakfast! That’s the only thing holding me back from booking here.
I agree, they definitely need a quick service location. The Boardwalk Bakery is so close it’s practically in the resort and they have AMAZING breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
I love Disney! I would love to go here! Thanks for sharing so many tips 🙂
